Datenna combines OSINT and AI to give governments critical insight into China's techno-economic landscape. Our platform turns open-source intelligence into structured, actionable insight for defence, export control, and investment screening clients.
The role: You'll own the full recruitment cycle for open roles and run the day-to-day HR operations that keep the organisation moving. Roughly an even split between the two, and you'll move between them on the same day. You'll report to the HRBP and work closely with hiring managers across the business.
Your mission at Datenna:
Recruitment, end to end
Build the recruitment plan with the hiring manager and HRBP: target profile, sourcing approach, timeline.
Run outreach and manage the pipeline through to offer.
Be the hiring manager's single point of contact. Keep them informed, keep momentum.
Write and post vacancies, manage candidate communications, coordinate interviews.
Source specialist profiles proactively: China experts, data experts, government-adjacent roles that traditional job boards don't reach. Most roles are EU-based, with some in the US.
Keep the ATS accurate so no candidate falls through the cracks.
Support employer branding: LinkedIn presence, job descriptions, candidate experience.
As the team scales, you'll also shape how this process evolves, not just run it.
HR operations
Manage contracts and employee documentation.
Keep HRIS data accurate and complete.
Own onboarding admin: preparation before day one, paperwork, system access. You'll work with Business Operations Support so new hires land well.
Support the HRBP as broader needs come up.
What makes you a great fit:
Experience:
3-5 years in sourcing, recruiting, or HR operations, ideally both.
Comfortable sourcing specialist or hard-to-fill profiles.
Familiar with Dutch employment law and HR compliance basics.
Skills and approach:
Comfortable engaging candidates who aren't actively looking, and articulating what makes Datenna's mission genuinely worth their attention.
Detail-oriented on admin: contracts, data, and processes stay clean and current.
Fluent in English, written and spoken.
A real team player who collaborates naturally and helps others land well.
Comfortable using AI tools to speed up job descriptions, outreach, and repetitive HR operations tasks.
Nice to have:
Fluent in Dutch, written and spoken.
Sourcing experience for engineering or data roles.
Experience with ATS systems.
