You are a young and ambitious professional at the start of your career who would like to learn the ins and outs of our SaaS-platform from the ground up.

As a Python Developer in the Data Acquisition team at Datenna, you help develop our automated data acquisition system. You will work both on the generic base architecture of our scalable scraping system, continuously improving various aspects of it, as well as develop specific scrapers for specific data sources using this base architecture. You employ your technical knowledge, creativity and enthusiasm to come up with ingenious solutions to challenges that come up.


In the role of Junior Python Developer you will be exposed to other development teams at Datenna and other aspects of the system as well, providing the opportunity to get acquainted with them over time and grow into one of various more senior roles. One thing is certain: you will be using a lot of the latest techniques within the fields of computer science, software development and data science and will learn a great deal!

What you do:

  • Research and explore effective methods of obtaining particular web content based on different, advanced technical solutions
  • Designing and developing key system components in the data intake environment.
  • Developing and improving web scraping tools and frameworks used for our purposes

Job requirements

  • A great deal of enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, and motivation to jump into the complexity of our platform;
  • A Bachelor or Master degree in Software Development or related;
  • Experience in working with Python;
  • Sufficiently able to communicate in English;
  • Knowledge of the Dutch culture, working habits, and office ways is a pre.
