China Technology Analyst

We're currently hiring a China Technology Analyst to provide data-driven analysis and reporting on developments within China's technology and innovation sector. Working alongside the research team and independently, you'll provide vital analysis and research on the ever-changing Chinese technological landscape.

Responsibilities:

• Data-driven analysis, research and report writing on developments in technology and innovation in China
• Have a solid understanding of what critical technologies are, and placing this in the bigger context of geopolitical concerns.
• Working on a mix of internal and external research projects that will dive into a range of different China-related technology & innovation topics and their impact both nationally and internationally
• Project management, working closely with other teams within Datenna as well as international clients

• International work experience in the corporate sector, at governmental organisations, or at think tanks in the innovation, science and technology sector
• Knowing how to navigate the Chinese sources, follow Chinese tech developments using Chinese language sources
• An analytical mindset, and good writing skills
• Comfortable working within a team but also happy to take the initiative when needed
• A Master’s degree preferably in technology domain, additional with China related studies
• Knowledge of Mandarin (preferable)
• Experience with quantitative research/OSINT (nice to have)
