China Research Analyst - General Application

We're open to meeting talents for positions as China Analyst or Intern. In this job you will immerse yourself in China’s ever-changing industry and innovation landscape and work on both internal and public research projects, nationally and internationally.

How you’ll make a difference:

• Conduct data-driven research on (entities within) China’s corporate, academic, and innovation landscape.
• Gain an understanding of how China is developing critical technologies.
• You are able to see the bigger picture and analyse these developments in the context of economic and national security.
• Conduct research for internal purposes - use your Chinese language and research skills to make Datenna the best China OSINT platform.
• Conduct research for external purposes - engage in public research (check out our Radars) or help governments worldwide answer their China questions.

What makes you a great candidate:

• You have a Master's degree with a focus on China (e.g. China studies, but also business/economics/international relations with a focus on China)
• Reading proficiency in Chinese (minimum HSK4) and good command of the English language
• Knowledge of Chinese industry, economy, and policies, or international work experience in the corporate sector, at governmental organisations, or at think tanks in the innovation, science, and technology sector
• Experience with quantitative research/OSINT/data science (nice to have)
