Do you enjoy the charting the unknown and disseminating knowledge with a global impact? We're hiring a Senior China Analyst to work on both platform research projects. We dive into a range of different China-related open intelligence data sources and explore their inishgts into China’s techno-economic landscape. You will work on different types of data-driven qualitative and quantitative research together with our Platform Research team as well as independently.

Your mission at Datenna:
- Manage projects that conduct data-driven research on entities within China’s corporate, academic, and innovation landscape.
- Design research that analyzes how changes in China’s corporate, academic, and innovation sectors impact economic and national security.
- Identify, oversee, and synthesize the output of junior and mid-level researchers into a format that is presentable to senior management.
- Coordinate between researchers and software developers to support data acquisition, processing, validation, and quality assurance.
- Support in-house China knowledge creation—utilize your Chinese language and research skills to make Datenna the leading China OSINT platform.
What makes you a great candidate:
- Strong project management skills.
- Detail-oriented, yet flexible enough to deliver high-quality output under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Reading proficiency in Chinese (minimum HSK5) and a good command of the English language.
- Knowledge of Chinese industry, economy, and policies, or international work experience in the corporate sector, governmental organizations, or think tanks in the innovation, science, and technology sector.
- Excellent analytical and pattern-recognition skills to connect the dots between corporate, state, and military actors.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis tools (Python, R, SQL).
