The Role: As Business Development Representative at Datenna, Inc. you will be part of the business development team and responsible for expanding our presence in the U.S. Federal marketplace. You will play a vital role in expanding Datenna’s reach and impact by delivering our techno-economic intelligence solutions to key decision-makers and analysts within the U.S. government. In this role, you are supporting the business development team and working directly with the Vice President of North America.
Your mission at Datenna:
Generate sales opportunities with prospective U.S. Federal customers via networking (online and in-person) & relationship building
Create sales strategies by gathering U.S. Federal market information, analyzing opportunities and mapping decision making units
Conduct regular outbound calls and emails in an effort to uncover and qualify new business development opportunities and upsell existing accounts
Schedule and host webinar and in-person meetings to demonstrate the value of our product to prospects
Manage and grow customer relationships together with our customer success team
What makes you a great candidate:
A bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3-5 years of U.S. Federal sales experience, or equivalent
Good understanding of the U.S. Federal budgeting and procurement process
Proven track record of consistent over-achievement against assigned targets
Comfortable communicating with prospective clients and understand a potential client’s context through effective questioning and listening
Strong business acumen; polished, and articulate, comfortable selling and presenting to high level decision makers
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient knowledge of SAM.gov and familiarity with other U.S. Federal market intelligence toolsets such as Govwin, BGov, etc.
Experience with CRM software (Hubspot), LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other similar tools

Additional Information
This is a full-time position based in our Alexandria, VA office or remote within the Washington, DC metro area.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Travel may be required up to 30%.
